Over the last few months, and since the last time I checked in, I've finally made it back onto my skis! The first time was on Saas-fee glacier for two weeks which was awesome! We then we drove up to Belgium (Peer) for a week of slalom training in a Snowdome. It was great being back. After those two trips and a little break, I've had some physical testing in Loughborough, before heading back to Austria for a week of physical. I then ended the Summer months back in the Snowdome. The Snowdome does provide some ideal slalom training, but because of the surface and the number of runs we are required to do during our 2hour session, this type of training is really demanding on the body. The repetition of around 25 runs a day smashing some plastic on ice and getting covered with bruises is getting a bit painful and tiring after 5 days. I'm looking forward to a few rest days before getting back out for some training.
